Roundabout is dangerously deteriorating

Reported via iOS in the Roads category anonymously at 12:38, Thursday 20 April 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4466002.

The condition of the Road surface on the roundabout and all exits/entrances are in a terrible state of repair. Stone chippings fro pothole are covering the road and pavement surfaces cause a skid risk and the chance of them being flicked up by a car tyre, potentially hitting a cyclist or a young child from the nearby nursery. The red non skid surfaces are also disintegrating. There is also a road gully at junction with Eastfield Road that has been blocked for several years causing flooding, this make pedestrians step into the roadway as pavement becomes impassable.

  • View from other side, just to help the road men not miss a patch, like they wouldn't do the whole job first time of asking!!

  • Yet another car loses a hubcap after hitting the ever-worsening pot holes. Stones still being flicked up at pedestrians. This cannot wait for future upgrade works, this is a serious accident waiting to happen!

  • Other reports on this issue have recently been closed with the comment “ As this issue is not urgent we'll deal with it as part of a future planned work scheme in this area.” This road surface is in very poor condition and has been getting worse over the last few months. It is unacceptable that the council now views this type of atrocious surfacing as not urgent. It is dangerous to cyclists and scooters and will cause damage to car tyres. This is a main road and if the council views this as not urgent, the. It doesn’t bode well for Bristol.
