Sustand route blocked no warning or diversion

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4466539.

Sustrans route 41 passes from Lawrence Weston Road to Merebank Road via cycleway which passes over and under the motorways. It is a prime route for cyclists going from Land's End to John O'Groats.

It is blocked at present, which seems official. There is no warning other than the actual blockage, and no explanation why , or a diversion either at or before the blockage. I have reviewed my front camera footage and there are no signs at all.

I did come via Long Cross from the south not through the park where route 45 goes principally as it often has glass on the path, and otherwise is not a great surface.

Given the popularity of this route, can you look perhaps to put some advance signage out and a diversion in place as you would for cars (ie one the is as traffic free/low traffic as possible). I have previously come across such signs in Cambridge and on route 55 in North Wales.

Could you let me know when the route will reopen so I don't go that way and get caught again?
