Manhole cover dropped on main road

Reported via mobile in the Roads category anonymously at 18:25, Friday 5 May 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4522008.

There’s a manhole cover that has dropped in the middle of the main road adjacent to number 143 avonmouth Road. This is a very busy road used by HGV’s & buses & every time one of them goes over the dropped cover it makes the houses shake with the vibrations. This is the second time I have reported this issue to the council & have not received any correspondence or updates on the issue,

  • Thank you for your reply but this issue still exists & unless you live in any of the houses near to this dropped drain cover you would not fully understand how much vibration there is when a bus or HGV goes over it, it’s quite concerning when your in the house & a large vehicle hits the drain & causes the property to shake, I do wonder what damage it will do in the long term.
