Council Tree

Reported via mobile in the Tree touching building category anonymously at 14:24, Wednesday 10 May 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4537587.

Hi,

Hope all is well, I was wondering if you were able to help me with the below query. We have a sycamore tree located in the park which is now overgrowing into our garden. It is also leaking seeds all over our garden creating new plant growth. Also the branches (which are quite high up) are now hanging over in to our garden so out of reach without using proper safe equipment. Leaves fall in winter causing risk of slipping and tripping for my elderly mother. Please can this be cut back away from our garden. We love trees, so we understand this, but it just hanging over into our privately owned garden that’s all. We wouldn’t mind if it was doing it’s own thing away from us.

In summary, this council tree is hanging into our land/ garden from the council park over the lane and into our garden causing issues and extra work.

Please advise of what is done in these situations.

Thank you kindly, Oliver
