New road surface is dangerous for cyclists

Reported via mobile in the Roads category anonymously at 08:42, Friday 26 May 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4598477.

The road along Redland Grove has been resurfaced with loose gravel. Within a day this forms large piles of gravel along the road making it very dangerous for cyclists. This has recently been done along Kings Weston Rd, making it a no-go area for cyclists. This is a cheap and dangerous way to cover roads and ignores the safety of cyclists as well as causing damage to cars and possible eye injuries from flying loose gravel. This is an appalling lack of safety consideration for vulnerable road users.
