Hazardous Container Skip Blocking Road on Cairns Road

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 15:32, Friday 26 May 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4600486.

I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a highly concerning situation on Cairns Road, specifically outside the address of 87 Halsbury Road. A container skip filled with dirt and pipes has been left obstructing the road, creating a significant safety hazard for both residents and drivers in the area. This hazardous obstruction is situated on a corner turn and is further exacerbated by the presence of double yellow lines. The combination of limited visibility and restricted access due to the skip poses an imminent risk of serious accidents for anyone attempting to navigate this road. It is of utmost importance that prompt action is taken to rectify this situation and mitigate the potential dangers it presents. It is distressing to note that this obstruction has persisted for over three days without any noticeable plan of removal. The longer this situation remains unaddressed, the higher the likelihood of an accident occurring. Given the gravity of the matter, I implore you to treat this issue as an urgent priority and take immediate action to remove the container skip from Cairns Road.
