Vegetations on Cycle/Shared Walkways

Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 12:43, Thursday 1 June 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4619165.

Parts of The Portway are severely overgrown. Then various points along the A403 starting right on the corner with King Road, to Cabot Park roundabout, to Severn Park Fire & Training Centre where the road turns into Chittening Road, then from Severn Road junction where the trail goes through an off road section to SUEZ Severnside roundabout. Then from Albeton Lane to Govier Way then New Passage road to Chappell Walk

In places all along this route you would struggle to have a person walking and a cyclist sharing the pathway. May I say that as a generalization across the wider Bristol, South Glos and Somerset areas where pathways are shared by pedestrians and cyclists, the pathways need maintenance, as eventually there is going to be an accident purely and simply because the pathway is overgrown and it is NOT safe for pedestrians and cyclists to share.
