Double yellow lines not visible

Reported via desktop anonymously at 16:02, Tue 6 June 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4639298.

Double yellow lines across the entrance to Knights Close have degraded to an extent that at the uphill end of the yellow lines are now hard to see. This leads people to think that they can park in the very narrow area between Knights Close and the driveway to 7 Wanscow Walk. When they do so, they are both parked illegally on double yellow lines, and also obstructing access to both Knights close and the driveway to No 7 Wanscow Walk.

This has been an ongoing issue for almost 5 years now, but has become much worse since last summer. During the extreme heat, the paint in the yellow lines has degraded to the extent that they are hardly visible now. The council / your team came and repainted lines 5-10metres down the street in response to this degradation but did not repaint these ones.

It is an almost daily issue now that people park illegally here and is becoming a real safety issue as it blocks lines of sight to enter and exit the street, and sometimes makes it impossible due to the restricted turning circle it creates.

Simply repainting these lines clearly will stop this issue.
