Overgrown fence

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4731416.

Once again I have to report the lane leading from The Beanacre on the right hand side is overgrown with brambles and stinging nettles.This problem was sorted originally with a promise that it would be monitored regularly.This has not happened .This lane is well used by dog walkers,cyclists and is an access to garages at the back of Beanacre and Merrimans, so this problem needs urgent attention .I do hope I don’t have to report this problem annually.

  • My Son bought a hedge cutter and has cut the brambles back for now.No doubt it will all grow back as bad as ever in a few months and the council will still not have checked it.This problem occurs every year and we have dealt with it ourselves, but my point was this is a council problem and they have the machinery to cut it back in less than an hour.My son did it after work on three evenings and the time before I took two afternoons cutting with shears ,I am now 80 years old .
