11 Lake Road - Hedge Blocking Pavement

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 12:28, Fri 7 July 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4760617.

This is an on going issue which is not being addressed. I was appalled this week when I witnessed a wheelchair user unable to pass on the pavement outside 11 Lake Road, have to turn around and go back down the street. He then went down a drop kerb and into the road where he proceeded to pass by this address in the road until he was past the address and could get back up on the kerb. He put hiself in danger as vehicles had to stop to let him past! This issue really does need to be addressed - this can't happen again!

Updates

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • This morning a council contractor has been cutting our grass verges. He was unable to complete this outside 11 Lake Road, firstly there is no grass - it has been worn away as pedestrians are having to walk on it to get past the property and secondly there was not sufficient room for the mower to pass by (which is the same issue wheelchair and pushchair users have).
