Hedge makes pavement almost impassable

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 10:27, Tue 18 July 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4798694.

Very overgrown hedge at junction of Radnor Rd & Maple Rd leaves narrow gap for pedestrians. On a corner and a well-used route to school. Hedge appears to be growing over the public space. Yellow grit bin and green telecoms box are IN the hedge. People have to walk in the road to get round the corner if someone is coming the other way. Unless the extra land has been purchased it should be reclaimed by the council for public use. This has been a problem for years. There are many very overgrown hedges, shrubs and bushes in this area. Difficult for pedestrians.

  • Drove past this corner late this morning and lo and behold the hedge was being trimmed. I didn’t stop to see how much was being cut back but I wouldn’t be surprised to find it was a bare amount.

    State changed to: Fixed
