Council owned Grass bank not cut back

The council used to strim back the steep grass bank outside our house twice a year. They don’t do it anymore so it looks very overgrown and unsightly and I don’t want to risk doing it myself as it is not my property. Although they do cut the level grass verges outside the houses and the green opposite us.
