Still no yellow lines painted at end of Oxford St after a year of BCC closing a previous report

Reported via desktop in the Road signage category anonymously at 19:13, Saturday 26 August 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4930252.

No yellow lines are painted at the end of Oxford Street and no traffic warden comes out to ticket the cars that park right on the junction. The parking on the junction is so bad that the BCC bin lorry has to fully reverse back up the street to get out. If the bin lorry cannot get down the street then Bristol Council will be responsible for when people die due to lack of fire/ambulance access. Residents are also unable to get large deliveries to their homes. Lots of damage is done to cars parked on the end when hit by turning vehicles, as drivers have to do 3 point turns to get round them - this in turn puts up insurance for local residents. This was reported to BCC on 06 August 2022 and the ticket was closed on the basis that the job would be given to a contractor, but nothing has been done over a year later. Ticket should not be closed until the contractor completes the job.
