Rainwater flooding of garages at 18 Chatterton Gn and 87 Longway Avenue

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 13:42, Monday

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5006020.

The concrete area of Public Highway outside the garage block slopes toward the entrance to the garage of 18 Chatterton Green and away from the drain marked, causing rainwater drainage into the garage of 18 Chatterton Green. From there it finds its way through the wall into the adjacent garage, entering that garage at a rate of one gallon per hour. It is presumably also draining into the foundations of 87 Longway Avenue, potentially undermining them. This needs remedying, possibly by installing an extra drain in front of the garage of 18. Water from the roofs of neighbouring garages also drains onto this surface, exacerbating the problem further.
