Raised drain is too high and also inadequate for draining away from the property plus the two stop-taps are inaccessible when area is flooded.

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 16:09, Tuesday 19 September 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5010653.

This has been a long term problem and has been raised by my neighbour at 96 Allerton Crescent with no resolution.

As you can see from the photo's, the water from the entire Crescent runs onto the tarmac in front of our house (94) and pours down our drive. This is resulting in damp on the wall of our living room and is also creating cold into our front lounge. Further to this, the two stop cocks are now inaccessible due to being full of debris due to being swamped.

These photos were taken today (19 Sept) whilst Bristol Water were undertaking work in the Crescent. We asked if they were responsible for any remedial work and they informed us this was a council matter.

Can you please look into this as a matter of urgency as it is causing undue distress to both us and our neighbours.

Kind regards

Edmund Lord
