A tall hedge overgrown and now leaning over pavement

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 08:41, Thu 16 November 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5218033.

A high hedge outside 304 is overgrown and obstructing right of way on the footpath on Greystoke Avenue.

The hedge has not been maintained for a long time, hence, due to its top heavy weight it is now leaning over the footpath. This has been an issue over the last 11 months, or more, but is now getting a lot worse.

There is very little space for wheelchairs, prams and pedestrians to walk on the pavement.

It is also beside a pedestrian crossing meaning this part of the pavement has a high foot fall.

  • Can this issue be seen to as soon as possible please? The hedge is now leaning extremely low out onto the footpath making it impossible to pass. Pedestrians now have to walk on the road to avoid it. This is also a concern for wheelchairs users, young people and the elderly.
