This corner of Queens Gate has a feature granite stone edge to slow down traffic. It is deteriorating quickly and has missing stones and loose kerb stones. On Wednesday 27 December the council road sweeper vehiclecame along Queens Gate. I was at an upstairs window in my house no. 14 and saw three granite setts on the road which the machine had swept up when passing and deposited further along the road. On seeing them in his rear view mirror, the road worker stopped his vehicle and collected and removed the three setts. I believe one or two setts have in the past been dislodged and lost in this way. The granite sett corner is now deteriorating quickly and needs urgent remediation to preserve it.
