Two Street Lamps Permanently Out

Reported via mobile in the Street light category anonymously at 20:53, Friday 12 January 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5436083.

The two Street lamps (cycleway, and pavement street lamp) have been off for 6 days at the end of Chester Park road (before Tesco's). The road is pitch black and is very dangerous for cyclists using the cycleway, or pedestrians using the pavement. It is also leading to antisocial and intimidating behaviour on the side access road between Chester Park road and the current construction site. The area is being used for drug use and drug dealing, while there have also been several break in attempts on vehicles parked along the road.

  • It is pitch black outside just up from Tesco. As a single woman I was verbally abused and harrassed by 4 teenage boys yesterday about 6pm and cannot make a police complaint as it was too dark to make any identification. We consistently have street lighting out on this road and it is becoming very unsafe as no lights attracts asb behaviour
