  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • My name is Chris Paraskeva (40 Glen Drive, Stoke Bishop) on 31.1.24. I reported my concerns(supported by many residents in Glen Drive ) to Amara at the council (very friendly and helpful) who kindly logged my concerns here. After surface redressing in 2023 (about six months ago) and a sweeper coming shortly after (about 5 months ago) to remove the excess stones we are still left with many thousands of stones on the road which are a real nuisance, risking damaging tyres, getting everywhere ( on shoes, carried into house, front gardens) unsightly and risking blocking drains. Would really appreciate it if the stones can be swept (taken) away and not just moved around and towards the kerb. Will need a warning to move cars. Thank you.

  • I reported to the council on 31st Jan 2024 that after surface redressing of Glen Drive, Stoke Bishop in 2023 (about 7 months ago) we have been left with thousands of tiny sharp stones in the road and building up in the gutters and pavements. We are concerned that this after many months might damage our tyres and be an accident risk; stones are being carried into house and can cause staining and damage, risk of blocking drains and generally the road untidy and like a gravel pit. I spoke to Amara from the council who said someone will be in touch within about two weeks. Please can you contact me with an update. It’s been three weeks. The road needs a sweeper to come to remove the stones after parked cars have been removed. Thank you.
