6 e-bikes left in river for 3+ weeks
Reported via desktop in the Abandoned vehicle in park/open space category by Simon Gurr at 08:01, Mon 8 April 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5821471.
On 12 March I notified TIER of several of their E-vehicles which needed to be removed from the stretch of the River Trym that runs undeneath the Portway in Sea Mills. Three of them are in the river on the north-east side of the road bridge, by the sluice underneath the footbridge. The other three are in the river just on the other side of the road bridge. At first they said the vehicles would be removed "within the next 6 hours" but all six vehicles are still there, with their lithium batteries in the water at various tide times. One is immersed all the time, at a spot where wild water birds rear their young. I have contacted TIER at least six times about this problem, providing vehicle ID numbers, and location details but they appear to have done nothing so I am asking the Council. The vehicles are an eyesore in one of the loveliest parts of Bristol but the longer their batteries are in the river the worse the threat they pose to our wildlife
