Possible collapsed drain causing subsidence in alleyway off of Gloucester Rd in Horfield

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 10:07, Monday 8 April 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5822229.

This brick wall at the back of my garden borders an alleyway between Gloucester Road and Beaufort Road in Horfield. The wall has been in disrepair since I moved in in 2021, and I had a contractor come and have a look who said he thinks it could be a collapsed drain which is causing subsidence on the brick wall between the alleyway, my garden (503) and next door (505).

  • I had Wessex water come to inspect the drain - they said it belongs to Bristol City Council. I have also had a letter from the council telling me to get the wall fixed, but I need someone to inspect the drain first to identify whether it has collapsed, causing disrepair to the wall.
