Footpath still obstructed

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 16:43, Monday 8 April 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5825180.

This matter should not have been deemed "closed" by BCC, simply because an(other) enforcement letter has been sent to the occupier of number 30. Presumably, the letter will be ignored just as the previous one was. Action, not a letter, is required. The hedge outside number 30 Glenavon Park blocks 50% of the footpath and presents a danger to small children and disabled people. It has been like this for years, not simply due to neglect - it has been cultivated to take the its current shape and size. I first reported this matter on FixMyStreet over six months ago.

  • Well, a few inches have been trimmed off, but the footpath is still not clear. Thehedge needs to be fully cut back and then maintained properly in future.
