Grass cutting
Reported via desktop in the Grass cutting category anonymously at 07:47, Friday 19 April 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5872947.
There are grass verges all along one side of Old Sneed Avenue. They are owned by the Council. They have not been mowed this year. Some people manage to mow the ones outside their house. I am 76 and cannot manage the verge outside my house.

The grass still has not been cut and it grows inches and inches by the day.

Well Parks Department you have remained particularly stubborn - adhering to your decision not to mow the grass verges along Old Sneed Avenue this year. Those not mowed by the householder have grass feet high. I (aged 76) with my neighbour (similar age) have just mowed the grass outside my house No 16. No Mow May surely is not No Mow March, April, June, July, August, September and October? It would seem so. Other grassy areas have been mowed around this area - some more than once. have you just stopped doing road verges, or just dropped us off the list?

Still no sign of Council grass cutting of the verges on Old Sneed Avenue. Some householders do the ones outside their houses.but the whole road has not been visited this year by the Council mowers. The verges are Council owned. There were only 2 visits last year!
