Sunken drain cover in middle of the road

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5945780.

In the middle of the road outside numbers 143 & 145 Avonmouth Road there is a sunken manhole cover, this is a very busy road with lots of HGV’s & buses using it constantly, when one of these vehicles makes contact with the manhole cover it causes massive vibrations & we can feel the houses shake. This problem has been reported before over a year ago & the outcome from the council was no further action required, this issue has got worse over time and will only get worse the longer it’s left, also we don’t know what it’s doing to the structure of our properties.

  • I have reported this problem before to Bristol city council, they said no further action to be taken but there not ones living in the houses which shake & vibrate every time a HGV or bus goes over the manhole cover.
