Council bushes rarely maintained

Reported via mobile in the Hedge cutting category anonymously at 17:24, Sunday 19 May 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5993298.

Please can you cut the bushes around the rest of back of the properties for Woodview close. your bushes are blocking my right to light. none of my solar is working adequately due to your bushes not being cut down to fence level as they used to be. as you can see in the pictures the council have only cut the bushes behind number 1 and not the restof the bushes. this is blocking my right to light, stopping my solar energy efficiency utilities and my plants from growing.

Please cut your bushes to the level of the fences as you have done in the past. These bushes grow like wild fire, you need to cut them to an appropriate level.

I have had reoccurring various problems with these bushes over the years but never have they been this tall. thankfully the bushes were cut adequately around number 1 this year but I still have to cut the through the summer otherwise I can't use my side alley as the bushes block it.

I have an awful feeling you will do nothing about this and say you can't due to nesting season. I hope this is not the case as too many times I have been reduced to tears due to the frustration of having to go back and forward about these bushes. I have a right to light and to be able to safely move around my property with out being at harms risk from your bushes because you don't maintain them.

Kind regards Tara
