Fly tipping all over the Clover Ground Estate

Reported via mobile in the General litter category anonymously at 18:17, Tue 21 May 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6003487.

This beautiful little housing estate is being ruined by the copious amount of fly tipping. It affects Clover Ground, Home Ground and Comb Paddock. The roads and walk ways and back lanes are affected. I believe nearly all of it is being done by the residents themselves rathe than being brought in from outside. At best these residents have no sense of pride and are guilty of apathy. At worst they are committing a criminal offence. I actually witnessed one resident adding more to an existing dump. In addition some residents whilst not technically fly tipping, are using their own front gardens as rubbish dumps. If they are owner occupiers, I'm not sure what can be done. If they are Council tenants, they must surely be in breach of the terms of their leases. Obviously the rubbish needs to be cleared, but the Council should be writing to all residents about this issue, reminding them that it is a prosecutable offence and to report any instances. There is also quite a bit of general littering. Whilst it is no excuse, it is true that there are no public bins at all anywhere on the estate. I believe bins should be positioned by the green and by exit paths This has all been going on for a long time and is getting steadily worse, spoiling a once pretty and charming place
