Bin removed and not replaced

Reported via desktop in the Bin/Seat damage category anonymously at 10:23, Sat 25 May 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6018945.

Also an observation. The bins around Sylvan Way are mostly old, small and some are damaged. I have recently visited a council area in Norfolk where the bins are very big and don't seem to have a problem with overflowing like we do.

The bins there use an open domestic garden waste bin sat inside a metal case with open tops. All that operatives have to do is open the door with a key, pull the bin out and it goes in a normal waste collection truck and is put back. No bin liner necessary!

Go on - do something useful and practical for Bristolians - less collections - less overflowing - use trucks you already have.

Make a difference - better bins - less rubbish on the streets and we all save money!
