Traffic mirror necessary on wall opposite entrance
Reported via desktop in the Roads category by Gordon Lewis Macnab at 15:47, Tue 28 May 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6030429.
This application has been submitted previously by the management at The Vincent, Redland Hill, BS6 6BJ but nothing has been done to improve safety. The Vincent is now almost fully sold out with most apartments occupied so the traffic flow in and out of the development has increased considerably in recent months. Redland Hill is an exceptionally busy road being a bus route in addition to numerous commercial and private vehicles passing by throughout the day. In addition there are legally parked vehicles on Redland Hill right up to both sides of the entrance. All these circumstances make the vehicle exit from the development car park onto a busy Redland Hill dangerous at all times. A simple solution to the problem would be for a mirror to be fixed on the wall opposite the entrance to assist drivers spotting oncoming traffic prior to while exiting the development safely. I fail to understand why this application has not been approved previously and trust that the issue is resolved as soon as possible.
