Shrubs and bushing extending into the roadway

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction category anonymously at 09:50, Thursday 6 June 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6071150.

For some time and, as recently as February 2024 when these photos were taken, I have requested action in Mariners Drive extending the whole length along the LHS from the Old Sneed Park up to St. Mary's Church. As a Past Chair of Sneyd Park Residents' Association ( 1985 to 1994), in 2011, with a team of 3 colleagues we cut back bushes and removed sapling trees as well as clearing Brambles to expose and reseed verges beside the lovely ancient Mariners Path wall. Sadly, despite requests of both BCC and the Residents' Association, nothing has been done since 2011 and the once beautiful Drive is now a "wilderness" of overgrown bushes which extend as much as a meter into the LHS of Mariners Drive . I was told by Seamills Depor that the Drive is not on Parks Dept list suprisingly to me as I know for a fact that the LHS of Mariners Drive next to the wall is the responsibility pf the BCC Park Department? I am p[ersonally willing to meet a member of Parks Department at Mariners Drive and make suggestions as to the work necessary
