The school flashing light sign is ignored by drivers need more visible lighting - or 20 sign for school drop off pick up times

Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 21:50, Friday 7 June 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6079751.

I cycle along this stretch of road daily with my son to his school - stoke bishop primary school, it is becoming more dangerous and busier since “ clean air zone’” was introduced as drivers use it to by pass clean air zone. A lot of parents park near the flashing ‘school’ sign but drivers are travelling at 30 mph plus and is an accident waiting to happen…. Can a 20 mph be added to the school sign during school pick up and drop off times. We nearly got knocked off bikes today with a driver at speed and there needs to be a school warning sign from both directions. 20 mph would be much safer in school times when there are also 2 zebra crossings along the stretch of road from where bell barn meets and further up beside stoke lodge park . Thank you
