Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6098801.
I am writing to urgently bring to your attention a critical safety issue concerning the pavement outside Penhill Residential Home. A tree situated along this stretch of pavement has caused significant upheaval due to its roots, making the surface dangerously uneven. This hazardous condition has already led to several accidents where residents, including elderly individuals, have tripped and fallen, sustaining injuries severe enough to require hospital treatment.
The safety and well-being of our community members must be a priority. The residents of Penhill Residential Home, many of whom have limited mobility, rely on this pavement for their daily activities. The current state of disrepair poses a serious threat to their safety.
Immediate action is needed to address this issue. I request that the council undertake the necessary repairs to ensure the pavement is made safe and accessible for all users. This may involve removing or relocating the tree, repairing the pavement, and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences of such hazards.
We trust that the council will act swiftly to rectify this dangerous situation and prevent further injuries. Thank you for your prompt attention to this urgent matter.
