Long grass (knee high and thigh high) causing ticks

Reported via mobile in the Grass cutting category anonymously at 17:12, Friday 5 July 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6196031.

I visited Mowbray park today and found the grass in the main park up to adult knee length and in some parts up to thigh/waist high.

My child was trying to run in the long grass and after trying and failing to play in the long grass we found 2 ticks on him from the grass.

This is completely unacceptable and can cause real health issues.

Grass in public parks should be kept short to enable play and use, not ignored to cut costs.
