Damaged drain now large unattended hole!
Reported via mobile in the Utlility covers category anonymously at 18:58, Saturday 27 July 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6283647.
Let’s have a laugh people of Bristol. Our inept council left a damaged drain cover - a danger to disabled, blind, runners, bikes, and cars - in its damaged state for nine months now despite repeated mail and phone reports. The ‘work’ - let’s laugh again - is now an abandoned hole left for the past six weeks on top of the nine months. This is 2024 remember, not 1836. Follow that up with the lies that this nine month - obviously a ‘super difficult job’ that council employees are being paid NOT to fix but you’re paying your taxes to them anyway - is supposedly FIXED. Please see the screenshot image of the job’s status they sent me. Does the job look fixed to you? Remember folks, if it takes them nine months to not be able to fix a drain cover - God knows what would happen in a city emergency. Good work BCC - you shame our great city and how you can except a salary for this kind of work is beyond belief.
