No working belisha beacons on Zebra crossing
Reported via desktop in the Zebra crossing light category by Sue Thurlow at 13:59, Saturday 3 August 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6311500.
The crossing recently installed has never had a beacon at the SE end of the crossing. The beacon at the NW end has been destroyed so there is now no illuminted alert with the crossing at all. Traffic coming from St Philips Bridge have very poor visibility of the crossing itself as they approach it due to the crossing being over the crest of a gentle hill so the beacons are particularly important for pedestrian safety.
