30mph speed limit sign not working

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6333643.

This speed sensing sign that should illuminate when approaching vehicles travel towards it in excess of the speed limit does not and has not worked for several years and been reported many times.

Please repair or replace it, it's there so should it not work???
