7.5t weight limit being ignored

Reported via mobile in the General highways enquiry category anonymously at 14:52, Friday 16 August 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6364987.

Vehicles over 7.5t are accessing Marksbury Road from Bedminster Road then entering Martock Road to get to Parson Street and Barnack Trading Estate on Novers Hill. This increase has also been caused due to the error in traffic planning causing the closure of the Parson Street right turn entrance where it joins the Hartcliffe Way, this traffic is now using Marksbury and Martock Road to gain access to Trading Estates!! There is now way they can use Novers Lane from the other end!! Even the buses that are stored at Parson Street depot are using Martock Road which has been narrowed both ends, the situation beggars belief. Please open Parson Street to allow traffic to access the Trading Estates and not use a residential area such as Martock Road as it is the only street they can use as Somermead is a one-way the opposite way, they have severe difficulty getting in to and up the road. Better signage is required at Marksbury Road telling HGV's not to use it!
