Fly-tipped tree cuttings
Reported via mobile in the General litter category anonymously at 16:26, Monday 19 August 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6375160.
Amongst all the other inconsiderate and unhygienic waste deposited by the Travellers currently occupying the Durdham Downs they have left large piles of tree cuttings that are obstructing the footpaths. The fact that their 'tree services' vehicles are parked conspicuously nearby suggests that they believe no-one will prosecute them. Come on Bristol City Council, take action. Don't let the mindless self-centred attitude of a few spoil things for the many.

Its 17th September and the problem of the previously reported fly tipped green waste is still on the Downs. Kindly left by the Travellers who were towing shredders behind their vans. I wonder if their 'customer' knew what was going to happen to their green refuse and tree clippings. The piles are blocking pathways and some has not even been shredded. Come on Bristol City Council Its time you took action to stop travellers from parking on the Downs in the first place or at least fined them. You must know who the group were as you supply large bins. How about some large preventative logs around the edges like on Horfield Common.
