General rubbish and large items fly tipped on green open spaces

Reported via desktop in the General litter category anonymously at 16:49, Monday 19 August 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6375279.

At the top of Maple Avenue there are two large greens either side of Hillfields Avenue. There is general litter e.g plastic bottles, car rims, metal cans and general waste cluttering up the open green spaces. The other green has large items of furniture dumped on the green and also in need of a clear up.

The greens often occupy local children who play games, mainly in the summer. The waste is a public health hazard and only serves to invite the fly tipping of other items e.g broken glass/ rusty jagged cans preventing local children/residence from using/visiting the site. As a disabled elder myself there are limitations as to what I can do. However the Green’s are in desperate and in immediate need of clearing before the area is spoilt or someone becomes injured. Please can someone from Parks or geeen open spaces contact me about the outcome of these matters
