Uneven pavement/bike path along portway
Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 11:33, Mon 16 September 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6476405.
The pavement along side the Portway which acts as the cycle path between Sea Mills station and the centre is very bumpy and uneven which makes cycling very difficult and uncomfortable - when I try to commute on it it gives me a headache. This discourages people from cycling but also means that more cyclists use the 50mph bus lane to cycle in instead (which is also only an option one way) and which is very dangerous as contains several blind bends and requires cyclists to duck into the 50mph traffic to get out of the way of busses. NB the pictures are over a year old (google maps) and it has gotten much worse in this time. It is in desperate need of smooth retarmacking and would mean many more people would cycle rather than using other public transport or driving.
