Safety risk underneath the bridge
Reported via mobile in the Bridges/Subways category anonymously at 09:42, Thursday 26 September 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6517868.
I’d like to raise a concern regarding the uneven surface on this busy street. With the high volume of fast-moving traffic, it's particularly dangerous for cyclists. If a cyclist were to lose balance due to the rough surface, they could easily fall into the path of a passing vehicle, which poses a serious safety risk.

Agree with the above report. Parent whose children go to St Werburgh’s Primary and have to travel this way under the bridge each day. It is flooded under the bridge and heavy traffic causing safety & health risk issues for my children as they go to and from school.

I have also found this road to be treacherous when taking my children to nursery on my bike in the trailer. The cars are impatient with cyclists but unaware of the potholes from the car so it feels like a terrible accident waiting to happen.

Yes, this section of the road is particularly bad, as cyclist I go to the middle of the tunnel when passing but that’s tricky with the cars trying to overtake. A sign for cyclists in the middle of the road should be clearly marked once fixed too to prevent from cars overtaking dangerously.
