Missing road sign

Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 14:07, Thursday 26 September 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6519418.

The road sign at the top of Marlborough Hill warning traffic that the road is unsuitable for HGVs has recently been removed, causing chaos when large lorries try to negotiate the turning. There should be a sign at the top and bottom of this narrow steep road to direct lorries away.

  • Until recently there was a sign at the top of Marlborough Hill warning HGVs that the road is not suitable for their use. The sign has disappeared and big lorries using the Hill are causing chaos. This lorry was unable to turn left at the top and had to back all the way down, creating a long tailback.
