Poorly removed hedge & tree cuttings

Reported via desktop in the General highways enquiry category by Ian Beattie at 07:56, Friday 27 September 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6521975.

Whilst the Contracaors have now, after months of requesting, trimmed the hedges and small bushes along the LHS of Mariners Drive , the cuttings have not been removed but simply "stuffed" in gaps between bushes. This the particularly the case at the bottom end of the Drive near the thatched cottage on Old Sneed Park. When I led a team of 4 in 2011 to tidy Mariners Drive we cut back bushes by hand, removed tree saplings & ivy from the top of the historic Mariners Path wall , removed brambles and dug over and reseeded grass verges These are now completely overgrown with brambles again. What is needed is a joint BCC /Sneyd Park Residents team to revisit the Drive.
