Urgent tree maintenance request, overgrown branches causing potential damage to property

Reported via mobile in the Tree touching building category by Nasim Khan at 00:52, Wednesday 2 October 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6540512.

To, Bristol city council.

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to inform you of an issue regarding a tree located on council land near my property at (25 Summerleaze Bristol BS16 4HD) The branches of the big tree outside my house have grown significantly and are now touching my house. This is a concern as it may cause potential damage to the property, including:

1. Damage to the roof, walls, or windows due to friction or falling branches. 2. Increased risk of pests or insects accessing the home. 3. Obstruction of gutters, potentially leading to drainage issues. My home insurance company have advised me to contact city council regarding this issue immediately. I kindly request that a council representative assesses the situation and arranges for the necessary trimming or pruning of the tree branches. I believe this would help to prevent any future property damage or safety risks.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please let me know if any further information is required or if an inspection will be arranged.

Yours sincerely, M.Khan Date. 01/10/2024
