To whom it may concern,
On Thursday 31/10/2024 around 13.30, I have parked my car on Berkeley Square in the designated parking bay. When leaving the parking space, front tire was ripped on the sticking out manhole cover. There were Council workers present at the scene (working on the new road markings in the area) and helped me to start the case on the FixMyStreet portal (ref. 6680272). They also reported the incident directly to the council and repair of the manhole cover started shortly after my car was fixed.
After the incident, I was not able to continue driving my car and had to use a road assistance, including mobile tire fitting service. Attached you can find photographs taken at the scene and invoice for the new tire and fitting.
Following conversation with the Council workers present at the scene, I understand that I will get reimbursement for the repair and new tire cost.
Please let me know if you require anything else form me.
Any questions, let me know.
