Light on No Entry sign not illuminated and drivers going wrong way up one way street

Reported via desktop in the Road signage category anonymously at 11:07, Friday 1 November 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6683298.

The light on the left hand No Entry sign into Oakfield Road from Hanbury Road is not illuminated. It has been like this for a couple of months. The No Entry road painted sign is not clear enough. Many cars now go the wrong way up the one way street crossing either from the lower part of Oakfield Road or turning in from Hanbury Road. This is dangerous as vehicles turning in from Pembroke Road are not expecting to come face to face with a vehicle...and many turn in quite quickly for that reason. Some cars are also parked facing the wrong way. I have stopped cars and explained to drivers as obviously concerned about an accident, but the driver carries on in the wrong direction anyway! Really concerned there will be an accident. The issue is increasing and is during both day and night time.
