5 tree roots lifting the tarmac and causing a hazard
Reported via desktop in the General highways enquiry category anonymously at 16:22, Friday 8 November 2024
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6710487.
I cycled down route 3 into Bristol at a reasonably slow speed and came off my bike after crossing the tree roots, One might be OK but 5 in a row destabilises you. This hazard is on cycle route 3. There are 5 tree roots, which have lifted the tarmac but are not immediately obvious as a hazard, hence me coming off. They are about 50m south of the footpath to Hazelbury Road and about 10 m south of what3words location shapes.jaws.lime what3words isn't brilliant here, I had to stand on the bank to get a signal.

I just encountered the same problem cycling up the path out of Bristol. I didn't come off but my glasses did! Fortunately not damaged. Neither were the pump and lock that also fell off due to the vibration.
