Tree needs pruning

Reported via mobile in the Branch broken/hanging in tree category anonymously at 12:05, Sat 7 December 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 day, 19 hours, 13 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6830839.

I recently reported this problem as the leaves from this unpruned tree were regularly blocking the drain underneath it. Purely by chance a drain clearing operative was working across the road and I asked if he had an instruction to clear the drain on my side of the road.He said he did not, but reluctantly agree to do it. The Council seems to be under the impression this has fixed the problem. The tree itself remains unpruned and the branches are now more hazardous than ever and frequently fall on pedestrians (including children) and cause a trip hazard on the pavement below. I reiterate my earlier request for THIS tree to be pruned back to remove these dangerous branches (as many of the other trees in this road have been). The leaves which fell after a recent 'street clean' continue to be a problem, both in the drain AND on the pavement! The larger the tree the more leaves it produces.
