Constant flood pool consuming disability access curb.

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 16:45, Sat 21 December 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6889105.

This drop curb is constantly engulfed in a pool of water, in fact i cant remeber when I last saw it dry. My street group tried clearing it, thinking that, perhaps, leaves were blocking the water's escape route. As it turns out, there is no drain for the water to drain into. It is a dip in the road that needs to be filled in. It's a busy walking route, school route and the only disability access point on that pavement. At present it is completely unusable. • Whilst, at the moment the area is dry, nothing has been done to elevate this problem. As soon as there is rain, the disability curb will be flooded again, leaving no safe route for pedestrians.

  • Rain has made this curb unusable again.

  • Disability access curb unusable due to rain pooling with no drainage. This is so dangerous for disabled, the elderly and children, as well as being hugely inconvenient for everyone. Everyone is forced on to the road. Please make this area less dangerous for all.

  • No access from this pavement due to rain. There's nowhere for the water to go so it just pools on and infront of the disability access curb. Thus curb will be unusable for several days after the rain stops. It is the ONLY drop curb on the pavement. Allowing it to become unusable puts vulnerable people in danger.
