This drain has been reported before in early 2024

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 10:57, Sunday 5 January 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6932783.

Drain does not carry away even the smallest amount of surface water and the current cold spell (4/1/2025) means the collecting water spilling over into FALCONDALE ROAD is freezing causing serious potential skid hazard (black ice) to traffic plus issues to passing pedestrians being drenched by vehicles passing through the "lake" of standing water

  • After moderate rain on the morning of 5th June 2025, this drain was blocked and preventing pedestrians using the footpath. I was approached by an older woman using a wheeled walking frame asking for help to navigate the Falcondale Road/Canford Lane junction in order to get to the library; she could not use the footpath and had to cross the junction in a different manner, which was too unfamiliar to her to navigate alone.
