Damaged drain allowing rodents into property.

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 13:47, Tuesday 25 February 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7186775.

1st Visit for Rats. Client reports noises in the wall. On inspection I have found rat droppings beneath the bath. I believe the rats are coming up from the sewers by finding a fault or crack along the SVPs or public sewer lines which then allows them to go through on the outside of the pipe and follow into the wall cavity. For treatment I have placed 2x bait trays and a snap trap under the bath. I would advise completing CCTV surveys of the drain lines, any public drain can surveyed for free.
